After five years, Robert Gumny returns to Lech Poznań to once again don the colors of the club where he grew up. Last season, the 27-year-old defender played for German side FC Augsburg, where he made just 11 appearances – seven for the first team and four for the reserves. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.5 million.
Robert Gumny was born on June 4, 1998, in Poznań. He began his footballing career at Lech Poznań's academy, where, through hard work, he broke into the first team. Shortly after his senior debut, the popular "Guma" was loaned out to Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała for a short period. Upon returning to Lech, he quickly became a pillar of the team, paving the way for a transfer to German club FC Augsburg. Initially, he performed excellently, but his form has recently declined significantly. As a result, Gumny returned to Lech to rebuild his form. It's worth noting that he has 15 appearances and one goal for the Polish U-21 national team, as well as two caps for the senior national team.
What do you think? Will Robert Gumny help Kolejorz win a second consecutive Polish Championship? Will they regain the form of a few years ago?
