On June 20, 2025, Mateusz Skrzypczak officially became a new player in the Poznań team. The 24-year-old defender represented Jagiellonia Białystok last season, where he played in 46 matches, scored two goals and was yellow carded five times, and in addition, he appeared in the starting line-up in a friendly match with Moldova. Skrzypczak moved to Kolejorz for around 900 thousand euros. According to the Transfermarkt portal, his value is 3 million euros.
It is also worth mentioning that Widzew Łódź also saw the Polish representative in their squad, but the player himself was not interested in moving to the red-white-reds, because he has been a Kolejorz supporter since he was a child and his father is the Manager of the Poznań team, and the fans of RTS and Kolejorz, to put it mildly, do not like each other.
The 24-year-old defender was born on August 22, 2000 in Poznań. He took his first steps in the academy of the local Lech Poznań. In the youth teams of the team from Bułgarska Street, he performed so well that he was initially placed in the reserves, and then in the first team of Kolejorz. The 24-year-old defender did not break through to the first 11 of Lech and went on loan to Puszcza Niepołomice and Stomil Olsztyn, and later left for Jagiellonia Białystok, with whom he won the Polish championship and was its key player.
And what do you think? Will Skrzypczak help Lech defend the Polish championship title? And will the Polish representative maintain the form from last season?
