Zagłębie Sosnowiec's season started off pretty poorly. The team lost most of their league games — almost game after game, regardless of whether they were playing at home or away. Not long ago, the players were playing in the Ekstraklasa, and now they're barely hanging on in the second league.
As the season progressed, Zagłębie finally had to start playing. Although they continued to disappoint their fans, they tried to score points. At times, it looked as if the games were rigged against them. Despite this, they managed to stay in the league.
Towards the end of the season, the players looked as if they were taking to the pitch out of necessity, not passion. They lost almost everything. Interestingly, they did better away than at home. They lost most of their home games, and away from home, they sometimes tried to win something.
The fans were disappointed. That's an understatement. They made arrangements, cheered, supported the team as much as they could. Unfortunately, the players haven't been able to use that support this season.
