After bringing in Karol Struski, Jesus Diaz, and Apostolos Konstantopoulos, Raków Częstochowa decided to strengthen their midfield and, in the process, weaken their league rivals, GKS Katowice. Oskar Repka joins the Polish runner-up.
The 26-year-old's first club was Zawisza Bydgoszcz, from which he moved to Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2016. After a two-year stint abroad, during which he played exclusively for the youth teams of KSC, he returned to Poland and joined Ekstraklasa club Arka Gdynia, from which he was immediately loaned to Chrobry Głogów. After a solid season in the First League, the Gdynia club decided to part ways with the midfielder and sell him to Pogoń Siedlce, playing in the third tier of the league. Only there did he get enough time to showcase his skills. After two seasons in the Second League, the Polish youth international was noticed by GKS Katowice, playing one league higher. In his third season with the club, he had a significant impact on the Katowice team's runner-up finish in the First League and promotion to the Ekstraklasa. Last season, he was a key member of Rafał Górak's team, which not only managed to stay in the league but also finished in 8th place, having been newly promoted. Oskar Repka himself had a very good season – in 35 appearances, he scored 8 goals and made 2 final passes. These numbers attracted interest from many clubs, including Widzew Łódź, under new owner Robert Dobrzycki, and Raków Częstochowa, which was fighting for the championship until the final round. Ultimately, the player joined the "Medalyk" team, signing a contract until June 2030.
