Juan Ibiza, until recently a Widzew player, has found a new employer after his contract with the Ekstraklasa team expired. The Spaniard will play for the Thai champions, Buriram United, starting next season.

Arka Gdynia is well-prepared for its return to the Ekstraklasa. The team remained unbeaten in the final stages of the first-division season, won three of four friendlies, and strengthened its squad significantly (including Kerk, Zator, and Percan). With no losses, a stable coach, and a strong defense, Arka could surprise and fight for more than just relegation.

Górnik Zabrze has made some interesting additions in the current summer transfer window. Young—jun Goh, Maksymilian Pingot, Natan Dziegielewski, Wiktor Nowak, Michal Sacek, Jarosław Kubicki, Gabriel Barbosa, Theodoros Tsirigotis, Tomasz Loska, and Bastien Donio have joined Górnik Zabrze. Marcel Lubik has also joined the club on loan. Nikodem Zielonka, Norbert Barczak, Kamil Soberka, and Jan Ciucka have returned to Górnik Zabrze from loans from other clubs. Thanks to these signings, Górnik Zabrze essentially finalized its squad for the 2025/26 season at the beginning of July, and further additions to the Zabrze team will likely be aimed at supplementing its already deep and quality squad.

Widzew and Jagiellonia players, who are attending a summer training camp in Opalenica, played a friendly match on Sunday morning, which ended with a resounding victory for Widzew, 7-1.

Edward Iordănescu was supposed to begin his tenure at Legia Warsaw with a clear plan: strengthen the squad, fight for the championship, and return to Europe. However, according to Romanian media reports, the coach was misled by the club, which promised transfers but failed to deliver any reinforcements during the training camp in Austria. Iordănescu works primarily with youth and second-string players. Although he remains silent, he is said to be disappointed and frustrated. An internal conflict between him and the board may only be a matter of time.

The 2024/25 PKO BP Ekstraklasa season was Widzew's third consecutive season after promotion to the top Polish teams in Poland. What was it like? After five years, Robert Gumny returns to Lech Poznań to once again don the colors of the club where he grew up. Last season, the 27-year-old defender played for German side FC Augsburg, where he made just 11 appearances – seven for the first team and four for the reserves. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.5 million.
